| Palaeography: | CISP: The lettering is Insular half-uncial. Both drawings agree that the G and I have wedge-shaped finials, while Petrie's drawing also shows such finials on the Ns and second D. For Macalister the D with an ascender which bends to the left has a rounded open bow, for Petrie the bow was heart-shaped. Similarly for Macalister the E is in the open uncial form and for Petrie it was in the closed minuscule form. For Petrie the O was oval shaped while for Macalister it was rounded. |
