| Decorations: | figural; geometric ribbon interlace; geometric spiral Fanning/OhEailidhe/1980, 9, `a sandstone slab bearing a richly decorated ringed cross. The cross has a square panel at the centre filled with interlace and rectangular expansions at the ends of lozenge-shaped arms. The three surviving arms are decorated with spirals comprising a series of linked triskeles. The three surviving rectangular expansions are all decorated with double band interlace. Outside the ring are the symbols of St. Mark and St. Luke, each holding a framed tablet or book, the winged lion on the left and winged calf on the right.' |
